Let’s Talk Astrology Placements When It Comes to Relationships!
Have you ever felt you are picky? Do you fall in love easily? Do you feel you are destined to be alone? Are you the last out of your friends to settle down? You don’t have a desire to follow tradition when it comes to relationships? Do you feel you are sexually liberated or a late bloomer?
Then you likely have strong Saturn, Neptune, Uranus, Pluto, Capricorn, Aquarius, Pisces, or Scorpio placements in the 5th, 7th, 8th, or 12th house of your chart.
I have heard clients say, “I’m a Libra, the relationship sign, why am I having trouble with relationships?” In astrology our sun sign isn’t something we come into the world being good at. We come in as this sign, so we can learn it, but astrology is much more than our Sun sign there are layers within our natal charts.
Placements are where the work is, the lesson, the insight. We don’t need to be healed to be worthy of love, but bringing self awareness into the relationship can be really helpful. We have fate that’s described by the chart and free will with how we operate within it.
If you feel you are too picky you likely have strong Pluto or Scorpio placement in your 5th, 7th, 8th, or 12th house. If your friends are telling you, you don’t put yourself out there enough. Your intuition is strong with Scorpio, that it’s almost an act of self love knowing not to engage with a person that doesn’t feel right. With a Scorpio Moon, you are selective, and private to who you give your time to. Pluto conjunct moon, gives you an intensity or a feeling, perhaps an obsession when it comes to the person you are attracted to. If you have Pluto in the 5th house, you can be overprotective of your partner, and have a deep desire to have children. If you have Pluto in the 7th house, you are likely needing a partner filled with devotion and passion, without feeling the trap of power based or unequal relationships. If Pluto is in your 8th house, your sexual energy is strong and powerful. If you have Pluto in the 12th house avoid partners who are controlling. If you have Sun, Moon, Venus, or Mars in Scorpio or the 8th house there might be attempts to control the direction of the relationship. Venus conjunct Pluto people desire total commitment and intimacy with their partners. Finding someone who is as devoted to the relationship, and makes you feel emotionally safe would be ideal.
If you feel you need freedom in a relationship, space, independence, don’t even need to be married traditionally to be committed, you likely have strong Uranus or Aquarius placements in your 5th, 7th, 8th, or 12th house. Uranus/Aquarius in 8th house doesn’t need labels on a relationship, perhaps feels hot and cold towards someone. If you have Uranus/Aquarius in the 7th, a need for freedom and independence in a relationship is important. Perhaps your relationships started off as friends first. Uranus/Aquarius in the 5th, you need the space to be eccentric, creative, and show your unique talents and gifts. Uranus/Aquarius in the 12th house, shows you feel the most free when you are on your own. If you have your Sun, Moon, Venus, or Mars in Aquarius you likely emote based on your values rather than your sensitivities. Venus conjunct Uranus people are often attracted to unusual or non-traditional relationships, and can be sexually curious and experimental. Finding someone who is open minded would be ideal and values the same.
If you fantasize about relationships, fall easily, for the idea of the person rather than the reality, and you need to bond with someone on a soul level, and are really good at long distance relationships, you likely have strong Pisces and Neptune placements in your 5th, 7th, 8th, or 12th house. Neptune/Pisces in the 7th house creates a fantasy of the relationship, and as soon as things get more serious, the reality sinks in. Likely the person prefers the fantasy, or you could lose your identity and be drawn to people who have problems. Neptune/Pisces in the 8th house if well aspected you likely have psychic abilities and it would be hard to have a relationship in a 3D way, as death and mystery of life find their way into your awareness. Neptune/Pisces in the 12th house people are shy and self-conscious, especially when young. You have deeper feelings than most and its important to connect on a soul level. If you have your Sun, Moon, Venus, or Mars in the 12th house, you may have a tendency to either keep relationships secretive, even your true feelings, and you can feel the person energetically even when you are apart. Venus conjunct Neptune people have a real romantic view of relationships. Finding someone who has great boundaries, spiritual interest, grounded, and emotional intelligence would be ideal.
If you take relationships very seriously, have a need for commitment, need to follow certain rules, or fear rejection. You likely have strong Saturn and Capricorn placements in your 5th, 7th, 8th, or 12th house. Either there were delays in your relationships, or a younger commitment. Saturn in Capricorn has high standards, only dating to marry. Capricorn/Saturn in the 5th house gives you a yearn to be admired and loved for who you are, but struggle to know how to let loose. Flirting might not be your fortay, as you want a date to turn into a relationship. Capricorn/Saturn in the 7th house are interested in serious people with serious plans for the future. Usually, opening up to others doesn’t come easily to you, but with time, you learn that it is a prerequisite. Capricorn/Saturn in the 8th house you often experience a fear of being vulnerable and some fear around sexual and emotional intimacy. Capricorn/Saturn in the 12th house are extremely sensitive, and have a hard time talking about your problems to others. If you have your Sun, Moon, Venus, or Mars in Capricorn, you want a steady home base, you are conservative, and you are driven to self-mastery. Venus conjunct Saturn people often associate love with responsibility. The good thing about Saturn is that it tends to get better after your Saturn return. Finding someone who is as serious about commitment as you are, who is confident, and forthcoming would be ideal.
As an Astrologer💫 astrology showed me my patterns and lessons. My chart reflects why romantic relationships in my life were fleeting, short, brief, or just friends. I had to learn that always being there for someone puts value on what I could give (masculine) vs. receive (feminine), as My Sun and Venus live in the 12th house of hidden, serving, and solitude. I’m here is to learn reciprocity, with my moon in the 7th house, I experience the drive to care for others, and the need to be cared for, in a relationship. I am here to learn emotional vulnerability and intimacy with Capricorn/Saturn in my 8th house. I am here to learn about boundaries with Neptune in my 8th house as I can pick up on a lot when meeting someone. I am here to learn that my relationship doesn’t have to fit societal standard, with Uranus in my 7th house.
